Explore the Flavors of Northwest Arkansas During the 5th Annual Tour De BBQ

The 5th Annual Tour de BBQ starts rolling on Saturday, Jun 1, bringing riders together around the love of cycling and food for a great cause!

  • Supporting Success: All rides start and finish at JUNK Brands in Bentonville and benefit women and families seeking economic independence through Dress for Success. During registration, you can go ahead and secure your spot for the Tour De Tacos ride on Sep 14 with a ticket bundle.

  • BBQ Block Party: Tour de BBQ includes 62, 30, and 7-mile bike rides along the Razorback Greenway, with restaurants and businesses set up along the path to provide cyclists food and hydration. A Block Party will be set up at the finish line, where you can enjoy BBQ vendors, drinks, live music, and community booths.

Groundbreaking Prosthetic Project At The University of Arkansas Is Changing Lives

The University of Arkansas’s Institute for Integrative and Innovative Research (I³R) is changing lives with its groundbreaking prosthetic that allows users to experience a restored sense of touch.

  • Restoring Touch: The Neural Enabled Prosthesis for Upper Limb Amputees clinical trial is testing a neural-enhanced prosthetic hand system that can provide users with meaningful sensations of touch, grip force, and hand opening.

  • Restoring Hope: Dewey Hickey, who had a bicycle accident in fourth grade and a subsequent amputation of his left hand years later, is the first Arkansan and second person in the world to receive I³R’s novel prosthetic device.
