On Friday, real estate development group Blue Crane met with members of the Bella Vista community to announce the purchase of 2,700 acres from Cooper Communities Inc.
The Blues Brothers: Blue Crane is the real estate arm of Runway Group, a holding company that primarily invests in outdoor recreation and hospitality initiatives. The group is led by Steuart Walton and Tom Walton, the grandsons of Walmart founder Sam Walton.
Bike-tirement Community: No plans have been revealed for what’s to come, but Blue Crane assures community input will be considered. According to Talk Business & Politics, Tom Walton hinted at pushing Bella Vista to the forefront of Northwest Arkansas’s mountain biking conversation and the city's evolution from “a retirement haven [to] a full-fledged outdoor recreation destination.”
