Fayetteville To Host Qualifier For UCI Gravel World Championships

Fayetteville is set to host the Highlands Gravel Classic on April 27 as a qualifier race for the UCI Gravel World Championships — the only city in the U.S. to host a qualifier race for this prestigious global event.

  • Rock Shredding: The Gravel World Series, now in its third year, spans 25 races across 16 countries, culminating with the finale in Belgium. The top 25% of the Highlands Gravel Classic finishers in each age group qualify for the world championship.

  • Going The Distance: The 2023 Fayetteville race drew participants from 38 states and eight foreign countries. Set in the scenic Boston Mountains, the 2024 race includes a 66-mi course for men ages 19-59 and women ages 19-49, while men 60+ and women 50+ will compete on a 52-mi course.

The Chillest Craft Beer Festival In The South Returns To Fayetteville

Mark your calendars! Frost Fest Outdoor Beer Festival will showcase the region’s best breweries at the Washington County Fairgrounds on Saturday, Feb 3, from 2-7p.

  • Chill party: Organized by the folks behind Fossil Cove Brewery, the festival showcases local breweries and supports local organizations with lots of craft beer, food trucks, vendors, live music, and artists.

  • Frost This: Frost Fest ticket holders will be given a keepsake-tasting glass to sample beer from over 50 local and regional breweries. Last year, Frost Fest saw a record turnout, and expects this year to surpass 2,500 attendees from across the region.
