Frost Fest Announces Return To Fayetteville This February

Mark your calendars! Frost Fest Outdoor Beer Festival will showcase the region’s best breweries at the Washington County Fairgrounds on Saturday, Feb 3, from 2-7p.

  • Chill party: Organized by the folks behind Fossil Cove Brewery, the festival showcases local breweries and supports local organizations with lots of craft beer, food trucks, vendors, live music, and artists.

  • Frost This: Frost Fest ticket holders will be given a keepsake-tasting glass to sample beer from over 50 local and regional breweries. Last year, Frost Fest saw a record turnout and expects this year to surpass 2,500 attendees from across the region.

Gear Up For the Holiday Season During the NWA Holiday Market

Find all you need to deck the halls this season during the 5th Annual NWA Holiday Market at the Northwest Arkansas Convention Center in Springdale this weekend, Nov 10-11.

  • Shopping For Good: The market will be open Friday from 9a-8p and Saturday from 9a-6p. Admission is $5, with 100% of the proceeds benefitting the Children's Safety Center of Washington County.

  • Santa’s Workshop: Explore a shopping wonderland featuring over 150 booths of the season’s best gifts, décor, clothing, jewelry, health & beauty, food, children’s, repurposed, handcrafted, and much more!

Create Holiday Memories at the Final Season of Listening Forest!

Fill your holiday season with light, sound, and wonder at Listening Forest, an interactive nighttime experience at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.

  • The Last Light: An outdoor experience unlike any in Northwest Arkansas, Listening Forest is back for its third and final season. Designed by artist Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, the installation creatively transforms surveillance equipment into instruments of connection and wonder.

  • Become the Spotlight: Become a giant of light towering over the trees, plant a heartbeat in a field of 3,000 lightbulbs, create fantastical images in the dark with your own body heat, and several other multisensory installations during this family-friendly walk through the woods.

Creativity and Recycling Collide During November’s Art on the Bricks

This month’s Art on the Bricks in Downtown Rogers will get a head start on celebrating America Recycles Day, featuring Upcycled Art and a lineup of innovative creatives, like Eloa Jane Pereira, on Thursday, Nov 9, from 4:30-7:30p.

  • On the Bricks: Every second Thursday of the month, more than a dozen galleries, shops, and restaurants partner with area artists to highlight the creative talent of members of the community and support the local creative economy in Downtown Rogers.

  • About the Artist: Eloa Jane Pereira was born and raised in Brazil, where she had a 25-year career as an architect. In 2005, she moved to the US and eventually settled in NWA. Her unique art, made from recycled office paper, magazines, and newspapers, has been showcased in galleries worldwide.

Northwest Arkansas Hospitals Keeping Straight A’s in Safety Ratings

The Leapfrog Group gave an A-rating to both Washington Regional and Mercy Hospital NWA in its latest report, commending the leadership, clinicians, staff, and volunteers who work to protect patients from preventable harm and error while in the hospital.

  • Safety First: The Leapfrog Group assigns letter grades to general hospitals nationwide, using over 30 performance measures and systems. The grades are updated in the spring and fall.

  • Straight A’s: These top marks make for Washington Regional’s fourth consecutive A-rating by Leapfrog and the eighth consecutive for Mercy Hospital NWA.
