Expected Snow Count for Northwest Arkansas
NWA Daily
Since NWA Daily launched in 2021, Northwest Arkansas has averaged about 11 inches of snow per year. According to meteorologists, we might see that much this weekend alone.
Sleet Dreams: Local meteorologists are forecasting 8-12 inches of snow, maybe even more, across Northwest Arkansas from Friday, Jan 23, through Sunday, Jan 25, with sleet also expected. So, buckle up for a monstrous winter storm.
Pipe Bursting Cold: On top of that, the region will see extremely cold temps, with forecasts calling for -15°F in areas from Fayetteville up to Bentonville on Monday morning, Jan 26.

Dine Card Discounts Are In The Forecast
As you read above, with a snowpocalypse expected to hit Northwest Arkansas this weekend, we figured we’d turn the forecast into a little fun.
Here’s the deal:
We’re running a one-day Dine Card Flash Freeze Sale (see what we did there 😏) on Monday, Jan 26. The price of the $30 Dine Card will drop by $1 for every inch of snow we receive, based on the average snowfall across the region from Friday, Jan 23, through Sunday, Jan 25.
For example:
12 inches of snow: $18
24 inches of snow: $6
30 inches of snow: FREE 👀
30+ inches …. not sure yet.
So keep an eye on the forecast, tell your friends, and watch for Monday’s newsletter to see how low the price freezes.

Resources To Stay Warm This Weekend
Local organizations are ready to help keep the community safe and warm this winter season. Here’s your go-to guide for shelters and warming centers across the region.
Central Support: The Salvation Army opens overnight shelters when temperatures drop below 32°F, offering meals and daytime warming. 7hills Homeless Center provides coffee, meals, and clothing during the day, with overnight options through the CREW network. Overflow options include Potter’s House.
Warming Made Easy: From Elmdale Baptist in Springdale to Riordan Hall in Bella Vista, multiple locations provide beds, meals, and essential support. Regional Salvation Army centers in Bentonville and Rogers coordinate overflow and daytime warming.
