Good morning, NWA!

To tell you the truth, it feels odd to compile a Weekend Roundup of fun activities while so many folks are still reeling from the storms. If you’re able, you can find opportunities to volunteer with the cleanup this weekend HERE.

For those who have been in the thick of it, I hope you can step away for a breather at some point this weekend. Here are a few ideas that might lift your spirits!

  • 🎤 Legendary: The John Legend concert at the Momentary will proceed as scheduled on Saturday, Jun 1, at 8p. Some general admission tickets still remain, and 1,000 free tickets have been set aside for first responders. Attendees are encouraged to bring donations for the NWA Food Bank.

  • 😂 Humor Heals: Iconic comedian Jon Lovitz has added a tornado benefit show to his weekend of performances at the Grove Comedy Club on Sunday at 6p to help raise support for those affected by the tornados.

  • 🎷 Boogie Springs: Immerse yourself in the captivating rhythms of blues, rock, and funk during The Eureka Springs Blues Party, featuring four days of 20+ blues parties throughout Eureka Springs’s Downtown Entertainment District from May 30–Jun 2.

  • 🐡 A Real Hoot: Hootie & The Blowfish will take the stage at the Walmart AMP in Rogers this Friday, May 31, at 7p.

  • 🎶 Good Brewsic: Bike Rack Brewing will host its 2024 Concert Series, featuring two days of fantastic music and craft beer from May 31-Jun 1.

  • 🎨 How Art Thou: Join The Medium for Visual Art Night in Downtown Springdale on May 31, showcasing the open studios of its talented resident artists, light treats, music, and good company.

  • 🪰 Flea Bags: 479Flea will showcase top vendors of vintage goods, clothing, original art, delicious food, and live music at the Medium on Friday, May 31, from 5-9p.

  • 🦖 Old As Rocks: Celebrate Fossil Cove’s 12th Anniversary this weekend, May 31-Jun 2, with three days of fun activities like vintage market popups, hot dogs, tattoo popups, and new beer!

  • 🌸 Spring Shopping: The 8th Annual Spring Market will meet at the Benton County Fairgrounds, featuring over 75 makers, artists, crafters, and foodies from May 31–Jun 1.

  • 🛍️ At Night: Support small businesses during a Summer Night Market featuring local vendors at Shiloh Square in Downtown Springdale this Saturday, Jun 1, at 6p.

  • 🤟 We Built This City: Shop amazing goods from over thirty local makers during a Mini Makers Market at City Park in Fayetteville this Saturday, Jun 1, from 10a-3:30p.

  • 🐾 It’s A Paw Pup: Big Pays of the Ozarks will host a Pool Pawty Popup with adoptable pets at Feed & Folly in Fayetteville this Sunday, Jun 2, from 12-3p.

Crystal Bridges And The Momentary Open Space For Community Following Storms

Crystal Bridges and the Momentary have opened their doors to provide respite to those seeking comfort, safety, and community bonding following last weekend's devastating storms.

  • In The Moment: The Momentary has reopened with modified programming, though the Tower Bar is closed until further notice. The John Legend concert will proceed as scheduled on Saturday, Jun 1, at 8p. Some general admission tickets remain, and 1,000 free tickets have been set aside for first responders. Attendees are encouraged to bring donations for the NWA Food Bank.

  • Art Heals: Crystal Bridges is hosting free, drop-in artmaking activities for people of all ages, a hopeful resource for families impacted by early school closures. Free admission to the Exquisite Creatures exhibit is being offered through Monday, Jun 3. The trails surrounding the museum sustained significant damage and will be closed until further notice.
