Rogers Native Establishing Roots For Regrowth Of Region’s Fallen Trees

Rogers resident Noah Furuseth is putting his passion for plants and ecological sustainability to good work, helping restore native trees and plants lost in the recent tornadoes.

  • Taking Root: Noah harvested cuttings from called trees in the tornado near Rogers Cemetery and nurtured them into young trees ready for planting. These efforts not only help preserve the native flora but contribute to the health of the local ecosystem by attracting pollinators and other essential species.

  • Nature Noah’s Nursery: Explore the tiny forest of propagated native trees during the Rogers Local Food & Art Market this Saturday, Aug 10, from 8a-1p. Noah’s plants include Common Blue Violet, Eastern Redbud, Green Ash, Black Cherry, Maple, and more available for $3-5.

Slash To Perform Next Weekend At The Momentary

Experience Grammy Award-winning guitarist and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Slash as he brings his brand new S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival to the Momentary Green in Bentonville next Friday, Aug 16, at 6:15p.

  • Live On The Green: Following its strong start with Jon Batiste and a sold-out performance by John Legend, there are eight more concerts on deck for this year’s Live On The Green series, including huge names from the music industry, like deadmau5, TLC & Shaggy, Gary Clark Jr., Patti Labelle & Gladys Knight, and more!

The 7th Annual Veterans Village Golf Tournament Supports Safe Housing for Homeless Veterans

Arkansas Veterans Village, a local non-profit dedicated to providing transitional housing for military veterans, is thrilled to announce the 7th Annual Golf Tournament will be hosted at Paradise Valley Country Club in Fayetteville on Monday, Sep 16.

  • Welcome Home: Since its establishment in 2016, Arkansas Veteran Village Corp. has successfully housed 95 veterans, with 18 currently being provided shelter. Proceeds from the golf tournament provide nearly one-third of the organization's annual budget, with 96% of all donations going directly toward transitional housing for homeless veterans.

  • Scramble Time: Gather your team of four and participate in the scramble format tournament. Prizes will be awarded for each flight, and a silent auction will be held to raise additional funds. There are also sponsorship and volunteer opportunities for those looking to join the cause!
