Team Behind Conifer Working On New Concept In South Fayetteville

A new restaurant and neighborhood market called Handshake is in the works at 710 S College Ave in Fayetteville, extending the culinary influence of Conifer in Bentonville down south.

  • At The Helm: Fayetteville native Hope Ray is leading the Handshake project. Ray helped Chef Matthew Cooper open Confier and currently serves as the restaurant’s General Manager. Like Conifer, everything at Handshake will be gluten-free and primarily locally sourced. Significant renovations of the property are needed, so no opening date has been projected yet.

  • On The Menu: Handshake plans to serve coffee, breakfast, and lunch via counter service, then pull out all the stops for dinner, offering favorite menu items from Conifer. In addition to its restaurant service, Handshake will feature a market with locally sourced meats, veggies, and more.
