Annual Goblin Run 5K and Fun Run Returns To Downtown Bentonville

Ghosts, pirates, divas, ballerinas, and all kinds of characters will race through Downtown Bentonville for the annual Goblin Run 5K & Goblin Kids Fun Run this Saturday, Oct 28, beginning at 7:30a.

  • Big Goblins, Little Goblins: Part of the Run Bentonville Race Series, the Goblin Run 5K will take off at 7:30a, immediately followed by a .7 mi kids’ fun run at approximately 8:30a. The cost of registration is $30 for adults and $15 for kids ages 12 and under.

  • Get in Character: A fun and festive run for the whole family, dressing up in your favorite Halloween attire is highly encouraged. Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes!

Highlights

U of A Faculty Projects on Display in Venice During Architecture Exhibition

Two projects led by U of A faculty are being featured during the European Cultural Centre's biennial architecture exhibition, Time Space Existence, showcasing the latest expressions of sustainability and innovation in architecture in Venice, Italy, until Nov 26.

  • On Display: One of the projects, Negotiation Room, was led by John Folan, a professor and department head of architecture at the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design. It was produced through the school's Urban Design Build Studio. The other project, Piggybacking Practices, is a research endeavor led by assistant professor of architecture Brian Holland.

  • Ambassadors of Architecture: Representing the University of Arkansas’s distinguished architectural program, these projects will be viewed by over 500,000 visitors throughout the Biennale Architettura 2023.
