The Education to Workforce Pipeline In NWA

A new report on the Northwest Arkansas education-to-workforce pipeline was recently released.

  • 7 > 3: The report found that seven of Northwest Arkansas’s top 10 career and technical education pathways now align with local workforce needs, up from just three in the previous study.

  • Class to Career: The findings show Northwest Arkansas is creating stronger pathways for students to transition from the classroom into long-term careers across the region.

Fayetteville No. 6 In Nation For Drinking Water Quality

Fayetteville landed at No. 6 out of 50 college towns in the first-ever U.S. college town water quality ranking.

  • Lead-ing the Way: The study evaluated drinking water for lead and five forever chemicals in the college town with the largest university by enrollment in each state. Fayetteville earned a B rating for lead levels, making it one of only eight cities surveyed to meet lead regulations.

  • Water an Honor! Nearly one-third of all cities in the study received a C grade or lower for the presence of dangerous chemicals, placing Fayetteville and the University of Arkansas among the top-ranked college towns for drinking water quality.
