π Kings River Falls
Drive time: ~1 hr 10 min
One of the crown jewels of Arkansas swimming holes. A short, easy hike leads to a waterfall pouring into a deep, icy pool perfect for swimming and cliff-side lounging. Expect crowds on hot weekends, but itβs worth it. Reddit locals call it βone of the best places in the state.β

π£ Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area
Drive time: ~35 min
Hobbs is more known for hiking and biking, but the hidden Beaver Lake access points inside the park make for excellent swim-and-float afternoons. Bring a kayak, hammock, or picnic and spend the day exploring coves along the shoreline.

ποΈ Riverside at West Fork
Drive time: ~20 min
A local favorite for quick summer dips close to Fayetteville. The shallow-to-deep sections of the river make it great for floating, swimming, or bringing the dog. Itβs easy to access and usually less crowded than the bigger-name spots.

π² White Rock Creek
Drive time: ~1 hr 10 min
If you want swimming hole energy mixed with serious Ozark scenery, this is your move. White Rock Creek offers cold mountain water, bluff views, and secluded pockets that feel far away from everything.

ποΈ Castle Rock
Drive time: ~1 hr 45 min
Not technically a swimming hole destination first β but combine the hike with nearby Buffalo River swimming spots and youβve got one of the best summer day trips in Arkansas. Massive views + cold river water = elite combo.

πΏ Tanyard Creek Nature Trail
Drive time: ~35 min
Short hike, waterfall access, and plenty of creek spots to cool off. Tanyard is ideal for families or casual explorers who want more βeasy afternoon adventureβ than rugged expedition.

πΆ Lee Creek Access
Drive time: ~45 min
A favorite for floating, swimming, and riverside relaxing. Lee Creek stays cooler than many nearby rivers in peak summer and has several access points where you can post up for the day.

π§ Lovers Leap
Drive time: ~1 hr 10 min
One of the more tucked-away options on this list. Expect scenic creek crossings, natural pools, and a quieter vibe than the more Instagram-famous swimming holes around the Ozarks.

πͺ¨ Cedar Flats
Drive time: ~35 min
Clear creek water, smooth rock shelves, and plenty of places to spread out. Cedar Flats feels more low-key than some of the viral swim spots, making it ideal for relaxing afternoons and creekside hangs.
