More Than $105m in Community Project Funding

Northwest Arkansas could be in line for a major infrastructure boost.

  • πŸ’°: More than $105mm in federal funding for 19 local projects, mostly in NWA, has advanced through the House Appropriations Committee in DC. Local proposals include $12.75m for Bentonville roads, $9m for a Cave Springs water tower, $9m for XNA’s western concourse and $7.7m for HWY 72 improvements in Pea Ridge.

  • Upgrades: Springdale could receive funding for water infrastructure and dental clinic upgrades, while Lowell’s NWA Food Bank is slated for $1mm. Additional dollars would support projects at NWACC, UAMS, Avoca, Gentry, Lincoln, Winslow and Madison County.

The bill still requires approval from the US House, but $ may be on its way to NWA.
