New Compost Program To Launch In Fayetteville
The City of Fayetteville recently announced a new curbside residential food waste collection program, set to launch in March 2026, after running a successful pilot program.
Sooo-il Good: Led by the City in partnership with Ozark Compost and Swap, the program will turn residents’ food waste into reusable compost available for purchase. The initiative aims to reduce landfill waste.
Trash Talk: For a monthly fee paid through city utility billing, participants leave a bucket of food waste at the curb every other week and receive a clean bucket in return. Additionally, anyone can drop off compost at specific drop off locations around town.
