1K-Mile Bikepacking Race To Kick Off In Bentonville

A 1K-mile endurance bikepacking race is returning to Northwest Arkansas in 2026, with the Arkansas High Country Race set to start in Bentonville on Saturday, Oct 3.

  • A Wheel-y Big Ride: After two consecutive years in Russellville, the self-supported race sends cyclists across gravel backroads throughout the Ozarks and beyond, starting in Bentonville. Riders can choose from multiple options, including the full 1K-mile loop or a more accessible 250-mile Northwest Arkansas loop.

  • Worth The Burn: Riders carry everything they need, choosing their own pace, sleep spots, including baseball dugouts or hotels, and route direction, typically racing for more than 5 days. For many, the experience is life-changing.

Porter Art Warehouse To Feature First Exhibition

Walton Arts Center will host its first art showcase, Harold Keller: Portals, in the new Porter Art Warehouse, from Thursday, Jan 15 through Sunday, March 8.

  • Drawn to This: The exhibition features work from a large selection of Harold Keller’s work, including paintings, drawings, ceramics, artist books, and more than 300 working studies donated by the artist’s family in 2024
