Meet Rufus! This 4-year-old, 68-pound gentle guy came to Best Friends as “Big John Rufus”—a big name for a sweet soul, so we lightened it up. He’s treat-motivated, walks well on a leash, and loves frozen Kongs and Dog Day Out adventures. Loud noises and car rides still spook him, but with patience and encouragement, he’s quick to adapt. Rufus would thrive in a calm home where he can build confidence at his own pace.
