John Brown University To Expand Cybersecurity Program With $6.5M Grant

John Brown University in Siloam Springs has received a $6.5m grant from the Walton Family Charitable Support Foundation to boost its cybersecurity program, developing local talent to meet the demands of the growing industry.

  • Cybersecure: JBU introduced its bachelor's in cybersecurity in 2020, becoming the first university in Northwest Arkansas to offer such a degree. Of the $6.5m endowment, $3m will be dedicated to student scholarships, $2m to attain technology, and $1.5m to support a full-time faculty.

  • Masterful: Besides on-campus learning, JBU offers the degree in a fully online format tailored for working adults. The university also provides an accelerated master's program in cybersecurity, which students can begin during their undergraduate studies and complete in just one additional year.

Razorbacks Track & Field Race Into The 2024 Indoor Season With Sights Set On Paris

Represented by student-athletes from 10 different countries, including the 2023 Bowerman Trophy winner, Jaydon Hibbert of Jamaica, the historic Razorback Track & Field program begins its chase for its 50th national title during the first meet of the 2024 Indoor Season this Friday, Jan 12.
