SOAR NWA Hot Air Balloon Festival Floating Back To Bentonville For Its Fifth Year

We’re about a month out from the 5th annual SOAR NWA hot air balloon festival, coming to the Benton County Fairgrounds this Aug 16-17 to take the fun to new heights and open avenues for our neighbors with disabilities.

  • Helping Others Fly: SOAR NWA raises funds for Open Avenues — a nonprofit that has been serving Northwest Arkansas since 1975 by providing employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

  • Reach For The Sky: Enjoy a variety of events, including evening balloon glows, tethered balloon rides, a kid zone, circus performers, helicopter rides, a beer garden, food vendors, a car exhibit, and live music — including a performance by acclaimed country artist Coffey Anderson!

Get Your Adrenaline Fix At Parsons Stadium During Buckin' In The Ozarks

If you left the Rodeo of the Ozarks last month wishing for more bull-riding insanity, we’ve got another adrenaline-packed weekend coming to Parsons Stadium with Buckin' In The Ozarks this Friday and Saturday, July 19-20.

  • Down & Dirty: An official stop for the Professional Bull Riders Pro Tour, Buckin’ in the Ozarks will bring the best Bull Riders of the PBR to Springdale as they face off against the meanest bulls in the toughest sport on dirt!

  • Mount Up: Put on your boots and join the heart-pounding action and excitement at Parsons Stadium. Adult tickets start at $18, and kids 12 and under can join for only $8. The event kicks off Friday, Jul 19, at 8p — gates open at 6:30p.

Illinois River Watershed Partnership Brings Back Bats & Bluegrass Festival

Illinois River Watershed Partnership

After a ten-year hiatus, the Illinois River Watershed Partnership (IRWP) will bring back the Bats & Bluegrass Festival at the Watershed Sanctuary in Cave Springs on Saturday, July 20, at 5p.

  • Cave Dwellers: The IRWP Sanctuary is home to the Cave Springs Cave, which releases 2-6 million gallons of water per day and is home to the largest known population of the rare Ozark Cavefish and thousands of gray bats — two species at risk of extinction.

  • Toe Tapping: The Bats & Bluegrass Festival will feature fun activities, delicious food trucks, creative flora and fauna-themed face painting, engaging educational stations, and an exciting scavenger hunt. The highlight of the evening will be live music from Greenland Station Bluegrass Band playing to the sight of bats emerging from Cave Springs Cave!
