Plans Coming Together for Fayetteville’s Newest Community Park

Consultants with Ecological Design Group in Rogers recently presented their plans to develop Underwood Community Park — Fayetteville’s newest park, located west of Deane Solomon Rd.

  • A Jewel of a Park: Much of the park’s land was donated to the city of Fayetteville in 2020 by Craig and Laura Underwood, owners of Underwoods Fine Jewelers. The nearly 60-acre property was previously home to the Razorback Golf Course.

  • In the Works: Plans for the park combine three themes: nature immersion, active lifestyle, and social gathering. Residents can expect features like pickleball and basketball courts, a playground and splash pad, a disc golf course, kayak & paddleboard access, and more — all while preserving ecological restoration areas.
