Explore The Wild Side Of The Ozarks At Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge
Lions, tigers, and bears roam the hills of the Ozark Mountains at Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge near Eureka Springs — one of the nation's most respected big cat sanctuaries and the only accredited ethical animal tourism destination in Arkansas.
Wild Times: For over 30 years, Turpentine Creek has rescued over 500 animals from private owners, roadside zoos, and situations of abuse and neglect, providing lifelong sanctuary within its 459-acre refuge. The refuge is currently home to several tigers, lions, ligers, a jaguar, a leopard, a hyena, and more.
Big Fun: See the rescued big cats in their large habitats during educational daily tours or experience Africa in the Ozarks through several comfortable lodging accommodations. Don’t miss their free events, like the Annual Kite Fest at Turpentine Creek, next Saturday, Mar 23.
