Former Razorback Track Athlete Launches NIL Matchmaking Platform

Former Razorback Track & Field athlete Ayden Owens-Delerme has launched a digital platform called DapUp to help college athletes navigate the world of name, image, and likeness (NIL) sponsorships.

  • Clearing Hurdles: Owens-Delerme began his collegiate sports career in 2018, an experience disrupted by the introduction of NIL. As a graduate student competing for the Razorbacks, he turned that obstacle into an opportunity while earning his MBA from Walton College and a Graduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship. The former Razorback represented Puerto Rico in the 2022 World Athletics Championships, where he finished fourth.

  • Nationals: Formed in the startup incubator-like New Venture Development Program, DapUp is an online platform where businesses can hire athletes directly and design custom campaigns. Its initial rollout was exclusively for U of A athletes, but DapUp is currently raising capital for a national rollout.
