Crystal Bridges Celebrates Recent Arboretum Accreditation With Arbor Day Festivities

Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art announced this week that its 120-acre campus has earned Arboretum Accreditation and will host an Arbor Day Celebration this Saturday, Apr 27, from 1-4p.

• Enchanted Forest: The designation from the ArbNet Arboretum Accreditation Program underscores the museum’s dedicated care to its Ozark Forest landscape, which includes large oaks, hickories, beech trees, ashes, walnuts, mature tulip trees, and the largest White Pine in Arkansas. Open to the public daily, the arboretum includes five miles of trails and 33 outdoor sculptures.

• A Real Tree-t: The Arbor Day Celebration will include nature-themed activities, like creating a bee bath, crafting tree-inspired works, and chatting with Hobbs State Park Ranger Jay Schneider. There will also be a tree sapling giveaway at the museum entrance while supplies last.

NWA Women's Expo Kicks Off This Weekend At Benton County Fairgrounds

The 14th Annual 40/29 & Arkansas CW NWA Women's Expo will take place this weekend at the Benton County Fairgrounds for two days filled with food, fashion, and fun on Saturday, Apr 27, from 10a-5p and Sunday, Apr 29, from 11a-4p.

• Shopping Spree: Over 170 businesses will have booths present with merchandise on display where you can explore the latest fashion trends, jewelry, home decor, and gourmet treats. This year’s event will have an expanded food area called the Great Tastes Food Expo.

• On Stage: The entertainment schedule includes floral arranging demos, performances by the Dazzling Diamond Chorus, kickboxing and self-defense demos, and tons of opportunities to win raffles and prizes, such as the Mother Daughter Look-A-Like Contest.
