Walmart’s Associates Week Kicks Off In Northwest Arkansas

Thousands of Walmart Associates and Shareholders (and a few celebrities) from around the globe have made their way to Northwest Arkansas this week for the annual Associates Celebration.

  • The 5 & 10: A virtual Shareholders Meeting will be held on Wednesday, Jun 5, but the real fun will take place during the Associates Celebration at Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville on Friday, Jun 7, featuring entertainment and messages from senior leadership.

  • Pocketful of Sunshine: Associates attending the festivities will enjoy activities and games at the Expo and a free concert with this year’s artists Natasha Bedingfield, Andy Grammer, and Leon Bridges! This week is usually pretty fun for celebrity-spotting around town, so keep your eyes peeled.

Alan Jackson Bringing Farewell Tour Through Northwest Arkansas

Country Music Hall of Famer Alan Jackson is bringing his Last Call: One More For The Road tour to Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville on Saturday, Sep 28.

  • One More: In 2021, Jackson revealed his struggle with CMT (Charcot-Marie-Tooth), a chronic neuropathy condition. The Last Call tour will be fans’ last chance to see the iconic performer sing his best-loved songs.

  • Last Call: Spend a thrilling evening with three-time CMA Entertainer of the Year, singing along to iconic hits like Chattahoochee and It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere. Tickets go on sale to U of A students, faculty, and staff on Jun 4 and to the general public on Jun 7 at 9a.

  • 🎸 Park Nights: The Gulley Park Summer Concert Series kicks off with Opal Agafia on Thursday, Jun 13, at 7p.

  • 💃 The Swing: Dance the night away during an unforgettable evening of Swing Classics at Crystal Bridges on Thursday, Jun 20, at 7p (dance lessons at 6p).

New Playground At Fayetteville’s Gulley Park Opening This Week

The City of Fayetteville will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating improvements at Gulley Park this Thursday, June 6, at 4:30p

  • Let’s Play: The new playground area features an interactive water fountain, a pavilion with soft surfacing for physical activities, areas dedicated to ping pong and chess, and a new tower with slides, a see-saw, swings, spinners, etc.

  • In History: Sculptures by local artist Eugene Sargent pay homage to the site’s history as farmland and being on the Butterfield Overland Mail stagecoach route. Following the ribbon cutting, the playground and fountain will be open for the public to enjoy.

Explore Over 250 Vendors At The Junk Ranch Spring Show

The Junk Ranch Spring Show is back, turning Prairie Grove into an antiquer’s paradise this weekend, Jun 7-8.

  • Junker’s Delight: Located at 11195 CR-23 Centerpoint Church Rd. in Prairie Grove, The Junnk Ranch is the largest and longest-running vintage event in Northwest Arkansas. Over 250 booths will fill the barn, festival tents, farmhouse, and shopping grounds for an incredible shopping experience.

  • Great Finds: Shop antiques, vintage clothing, handmade goods, original art, seasonal plants, and more!! Live music will accompany the spring show every day on both days, as will a fantastic lineup of food vendors.
