  • 📽️ The Big Screen: The Rogers Short Film Festival will feature 34 films by filmmakers from K-12 students to professionals at Victory Theater from May 3-5.

  • 🎨 How Art Thou: Join The Medium for Visual Art Night in Downtown Springdale on May 31, showcasing the open studios of its talented resident artists, light treats, music, and good company.

Last Day To Sign Up For Spring Square 2 Square Ride

Break out the helmets and tune up your bikes! Today is the last day to sign up for the 2024 Spring Square 2 Square Bike Ride, hosted by the Bentonville and Fayetteville Parks & Rec teams this Saturday, May 4.

  • Northbound: The local tradition will take riders on a 30+ mi leisure ride from Walker Park in south Fayetteville to the Sam’s Club Home Office in Bentonville via the scenic Razorback Greenway. Pit stops are stationed along the way at Lake Fayetteville, Downtown Springdale, Lowell, and Rogers.

  • Family Ride: Shuttles are available as a $10 add-on. Sign up as a family and get $10 off per rider when registering at least four riders from the same household.

Walmart Readies To Open State Of The Art Childcare Center On New Campus

On May 6, Walmart will open the doors to the Little Squiggles Children’s Enrichment Center, a 73,000-sq-ft center for childcare and early childhood education for infants through pre-K on its New Home Office campus.

  • A Little Squiggly: With the capacity to accommodate more than 500 children, Little Squiggles will be the largest childcare offering in the region and increase the Northwest Arkansas market capacity by 15%.

  • Bring Your Kids To Work: Little Squiggles will feature bright, open classrooms and a holistic curriculum focused on discovery-driven learning and purposeful play. Parents who work on campus can have lunch or interact with their children during the day in a connected courtyard.

Experience The Best Of Roots and Bluegrass During FreshGrass | Bentonville

Gear up for two days of today’s best modern bluegrass and progressive roots music at FressGrass | Bentonville at the Momentary on May 17-18.

  • Uprooted: Enjoy music across multiple stages from a phenomenal lineup of award-winning artists like Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Trampled by Turtles, Molly Tuttle and Golden Highway, Valerie June, JD Clayton, and more! Beyond the music, the festival will feature family-friendly activities, artist merchandise, local food and drink, homegrown retail vendors, and more.

  • BYOBanjo: Bringing instruments is highly encouraged! There will be multiple workshop and jam sessions, including a Banjo Workshop with Alison Brown, a Fiddle Workshop with world-famous fiddler Darol Anger, and a Mandolin Workshop with Sharon Gilchrest.

Artosphere Arts & Nature Festival Begins!

Throughout May, Walton Arts Center has planned a mix of free and low-cost art, music, and nature experiences around Northwest Arkansas as part of its annual Artosphere: Arts & Nature Festival.

  • Naturally: The festival features celebratory events for the whole family to enjoy. It spotlights artists from around the world who draw inspiration from nature and provides a creative framework for the community to discuss sustainability issues and environmental awareness.

  • Artistic: The multi-week festival includes free and low-cost events ranging from performances by full orchestras and local bands in parks, outdoor venues, and bars to Indie film screenings, fashion shows, and activities like yoga or biking paired with live music.
