August's First Thursday theme in Fayetteville is Summer Soirée! There will be laid-back summer jams and plenty of fun in the sun at the Downtown Square Aug 3, from 5:30-9p.

  • All Summer Long: First Thursday on the Square is an annual event series by Experience Fayetteville intended to gather the community around the combination of music, food, art, and fun! This month’s entertainment will feature Papa Rap, The Misdemeanors, and Bootleg Royale.

  • Summertime gladness: Celebrate long summer nights, outdoor dining, and childhood fun. Compete for prizes in a watermelon seed-spittin’ contest, grab dinn

    er from a great lineup of food trucks, and let the kiddos play in the splash pad play area!

Tontitown Grape Festival Returns for its 124th Year

The 124th Tontitown Grape Festival kicks off tomorrow night for a week of community fun, carnival rides, and great food lasting Aug 1-5.

  • Something for everybody: The festival schedule includes free nightly entertainment, traditional grape stomping, carnival rides, a craft fair, and the infamously delicious Italian Spaghetti Dinners and grape ice cream.

  • Move Your Feet: If all that grape stomping makes you want to move your feet, sign up for the Run for the Grapes 5K on Saturday morning. The Festival ends Saturday night with the Grand Prize Giveaway of a 2023 Honda Pioneer 1000, to be presented by this year’s Queen Concordia.

Smokin’ Oak Wood-Fired Pizza Unveils Self-Pour Taproom

Smokin’ Oak Wood-Fired Pizza is set to host the grand opening of Arkansas’s first self-pour taproom at its Fayetteville location on Aug. 1.

  • Self-Served: Powered by iPourIt technology, the self-pour tap wall allows customers to pour their own drinks from digitally controlled taps, providing a unique way for patrons to explore the world of beer. This will be the first self-pour tap wall in the Natural State.

  • Raise a Glass: Smokin’ Oak has planned a series of fun events to celebrate all week long, including trivia nights, musical bingo, and a cornhole tournament. They will also offer free lunch pizza and 50% off all pours from the self-pour tap from 11a-2p this weekend, Aug 4-6.

Yard Art Celebration Features Local Latina Artist

Join an exciting yard art party featuring live music, artmaking, and refreshments in celebration of Audrey Vega's Yard Art Installation, Los Hermanos Vega: Rooted in Springdale, at the Live in America Residency House on Saturday, Aug 5, from 4-6p.

  • Familia: Featuring a mural and portrait painting that captures the essence of Springdale, Los Hermanos Vega: Rooted in Springdale showcases pays tribute to Vega’s grandmother and uncle, Virginia Vega and Eddie Vega, who dedicated themselves to supporting the Latino community in Springdale.

  • Art Party: The yard party will include live music, snacks, and free artmaking activities provided by the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History as part of its Shiloh Summer Series.
