Building Plans Submitted For Revived AQ Chicken House
Dating back to 1947, AQ Chicken House in Springdale once ruled the roost in terms of local chicken joints. The original location closed its doors in 2023, but a group of locals is working hard to get the place back up and cluckin’.
From The Ashes: A new ownership team acquired the brand with a commitment to rekindle the spirit of this cherished Arkansas classic and just submitted design plans to the City of Springdale for approval, getting one step closer to relighting the ol’ charcoal grills.
Famous Flavors: Located near the Elm Springs exit on I-49, the proposed 13,041 sq ft building will include an outdoor area for kids, outdoor covered dining, unique “silo” dining rooms, an ice cream room for made-on-site premium ice cream, and a bright, updated design that honors the past while inviting new generations.

Peel Museum and Botanical Garden Receives National Accreditation
The American Alliance of Museums recently awarded Peel Museum & Botanical Garden national accreditation status — a wonderful early present ahead of the museum’s 150th Anniversary in 2025!
One Of A Kind: The AAM Accreditation is the highest national recognition given to museums. Of the nation’s estimated 33,000 museums, only around 1,100 are currently accredited, and Peel Museum & Botanical Garden is one of just ten museums accredited in Arkansas.
Arkansas Historic: Peel Museum & Botanical Garden is a community space provided by Peel Compton Foundation in Bentonville. The historic Italianate family home features period pieces and artifacts dating back to the 1800s and is surrounded by seven gardens and grounds inspired by the Victorian era.

Elevated Experience: The Motto and Tempo brand hotel will feature a sports bar and coffee shop on the ground floor, a rooftop bar, and a restaurant with views of the historic Old Main and the University of Arkansas. A day may come when I’ll be able to resist the urge to make a reference to The Lord of the Rings, but it is not this day. Today’s subject line could pertain to AQ Chicken House’s return, the refurbished aircraft That’s All Brother flying again, or the return of Wing Fest at Central BBQ. It’s a trilogy of references paying tribute to one of the greatest trilogy finales of all time. You’re welcome, but I didn’t do it for you. I did it…
