Renowned Artist Paints New Downtown Rogers Mural

Globally Recognized Muralist Begins Installation at First Street Flats in Downtown Rogers
What:
Mural installation by internationally acclaimed Argentine artist Francisco Díaz Scotto (Pastel) is now underway. The new artwork, titled “Ama a tu prójimo” (“Love Your Neighbor”), is a continuation of Specialized Real Estate Group’s Love Your Neighbor campaign, first introduced at South Yard in Fayetteville in 2020. This latest expression of the campaign will offer a visual invitation to kindness, connection, and inclusivity. Community members and visitors are encouraged to stop by throughout the installation process to see the work come to life.

When:
Installation began on August 8 and will continue through Friday, August 15. Media are invited to capture the process as the artist works on site throughout the week.

This highly visible public artwork activates a prominent corner of the First Street Flats development, celebrating cultural diversity through botanical symbolism. Commissioned by Specialized Real Estate Group, the mural reflects the company’s commitment to cultivating beauty and belonging—creating places that foster connection and feel rooted in the life of the neighborhood.
About the Artist:
Francisco Díaz Scotto (Pastel) is a former architect turned globally known muralist, with works across the U.S., Europe, and Latin America. His pieces are known for interpreting local histories through symbolic floral forms. Pastel previously painted in Northwest Arkansas as part of The Unexpected in Fort Smith and is excited to return to the region.
