NWA Cities Top Arkansas’s 2025 List of Safest Cities
A number of communities in NWA have been named some of the safest cities in Arkansas for 2025, according to SafeWise’s annual rankings.
Top 10 Dominance: NWA cities claimed six of the top ten spots, with Cave Springs at #1, followed by Bella Vista (#4), Gentry (#5), Centerton (#7), and Farmington (#8). These cities separated surrounding communities due to low violent crimes and reported property crime.
Crime Trends Show Improvement: The majority of Arkansas’s 20 safest cities saw year-over-year decreases in property crime, violent crime, or both.

SelfCtrl is dedicated to helping families and individuals develop self-control around screen time and video gaming.
Technology Bumpers: Founded by Ian McCready, a former gamer, SelfCtrl aims to redeem time for meaningful activities and relationships. Their approach, to build self-control around technology use.
Learning Opportunities: SelfCtrl uses parents leading by example in show responsible tech use, creating freedom from technology addiction, and creating more connected communities. SelfCtrl offers resources, workshops, and speaking engagements tailored for churches, schools, and businesses.

Bentonville June First Friday: Festival of Nations Returns
Downtown Bentonville’s First Friday Festival is June 6th and the theme this month is: Festival of Nations - uniquely timed up with Walmart Shareholder’s week.
Friday’s First Friday Goes Global: Returning for a three-day celebration of global cultures, featuring music, food, dance, and family-friendly activities the Bentonville Square will transform into an international celebration. Expect cultural performances, artisan booths, and international cuisine, highlighting the diverse communities that make up NWA.
More Than Just a Festival: The festivities kick off Thursday evening with an outdoor screening of Encanto. Saturday’s Farmers Market will feature global flavors, live cooking demos, and multicultural performances.

🐈 Home Sweet Home: A facility in California was found to have acquired 16 restricted species without holding the required permit. USDA has relocated eight of those animals to Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuse in Eureka Springs.
🌲 Wheels Up: Arkansas State Parks increases access to hiking trails with ‘Trackchairs’. Motorized, off road wheelchairs.
