Music Moves Celebrates Black History Month with Community Events

Music Moves, an organization dedicated to preserving and celebrating Black musical traditions through education and performance, is hosting a series of free, family-friendly events throughout February in honor of Black History Month.

• We Are Family: Family Fun Day on Sunday, Feb 16, from 3-5p at the Music Depot in Rogers will feature crafts, educational performances, a short film, and games for all ages.

• Virtual & Educational Initiatives: On Sunday, Feb 23, Music Moves will premiere "Celebrating Black American Innovation" on Facebook, a short film highlighting 25 Black inventors who shaped American society. Throughout February, Music Moves will also visit local schools to educate students through music and storytelling.
