Celebrate Juneteenth At Spring Shop Studios In Fayetteville

Happy Juneteenth! Let’s Talk NWA invites the community to join the 5th Annual Juneteenth Celebration at Spring Street Studio in Fayetteville tonight, Jun 19, from 4-9p.

  • Celebrating Freedom: Juneteenth, also known as Black Independence Day, is a federal holiday marking the emancipation of enslaved people in the United States on Jun 19, 1865.

  • It Takes A Village: This year’s theme is The Family Reunion, a nod to the notion that “it takes a village” to navigate life. Enjoy free food, prize giveaways, games, and a play area for kids. A wide range of free community resources, including financial, mental health, and health coaching, will also be present!

Pedal It Forward Rolls Out New Springdale Location

On Monday, Pedal It Forward officially opened its third location at The Jones Center in Springdale.

  • Re-Cycled: For the past decade, Pedal It Forward has been collecting, refurbishing, and distributing bikes to those facing economic challenges, providing access to affordable transportation, health benefits, and the fun that bikes bring.

  • The Bike Shop: The 3,000-square-foot shop is housed in The Jones Center’s historic "truck wash" building. The open floor plan, large garage doors, and spacious courtyard make the space perfect for the nonprofit’s bike storage, repair, and programming.

  • On The Tube: Fayetteville Parks & Rec will host one more Dive-In Movie at Wilson Park Pool this summer, showing Kung Fu Panda 4 on Friday, Jul 19.

Enjoy The Great Southern Beer Fest This Weekend In Downtown Springdale

Break out your lederhosen overalls for The Great Southern Beer Fest, a celebration of the spring harvest and good brews, with 100% of funds raised going to local nonprofits. The festival will be held at Turnbow Park in Downtown Springdale on Jun 22, from 4-9p.

  • Beyond The Beer: The Great Southen Beer Fest is organized by Ale-truism, a Northwest Arkansas-based nonprofit that supports other nonprofits by crafting fundraising opportunities and partnerships with the NWA brewing community.

  • Rosin Up Your Bow: The festival will bring brewers from across the state to Downtown Springdale for a day filled with great beer, excellent food trucks, and live music, including local bands The Downtown Livewires and Sultans of Swerve.
