The Meteor Cafe Announces Opening Date For New Location At South Yard In Fayetteville

The Meteor Cafe, known for its unique blend of food, coffee, booze, and bicycles, is set to open its doors at South Yard in Fayetteville on Friday, Aug 9, at 7a.

This location joins the company’s existing sites in Bentonville, Dallas, and Austin. “Fayetteville’s vibrant community and its proximity to the Razorback Greenway make it an ideal location for The Meteor’s newest location. Our commitment to fostering a community hub for both cycling enthusiasts and food lovers aligns perfectly with the city’s culture,” said Doug Zell, co-founder of The Meteor.

The cafe will offer a broad selection of natural wines, craft beers, house-made baked goods, and specialty coffees. Menu highlights include breakfast tacos, gourmet burgers and sandwiches, and the cafe's signature sourdough-crust pizza.

The adjacent bike shop will provide expert services and a curated selection of bikes, apparel, and accessories.

Chris St. Peter, co-founder and managing director, added, “Our Fayetteville venue is designed to be a community cornerstone, supporting both the cycling culture and those simply seeking a quality food experience in a relaxed setting.”

The Meteor was founded by Zell, who also founded Intelligentsia Coffee, and St. Peter, a former attorney. The pair, who bonded over their passion for cycling, envisioned a space that integrates their favorite things: excellent wines, delectable food, meticulously crafted coffees, and bicycles. This vision gave rise to their motto: Espresso | Champagne | Chain Lube.

The Meteor Fayetteville will operate from 7a to 10p Sunday through Thursday and 7a to 11p on Friday and Saturday.
