  • Doggone fun: First Thursday on the Square is an annual event series by Experience Fayetteville intended to gather the community around the combination of music, food, art, and fun! Donations for a pet food drive with Ranger’s Pet Food Pantry can be dropped off at the Visitor’s Center.

  • On the catdogwalk: Snap a pic at the Puppy Portraits booth, get artsy at the Paint by Paw station, and enter your furball in the annual Dog Daze Pageant so they can strut their stuff and win great prizes!

  • Waste not, want not: By creating value-added products with imperfect “cull” produce, the Expanding Farmers’ Opportunities in Northwest Arkansas Program helps cut down on food waste and provides farmers with opportunities to sell products year-round.

  • In the kitchen: The Farmer’s Ratatouille recipe used tomatoes, squash, zucchini, eggplant, and roasted red peppers from McGarrah Farms of Pea Ridge, whose produce can be found at farmers’ markets in Fayetteville, Bentonville, and Rogers or at Rivercrest Orchard.
