USA Announces 2024 Olympic Games Mountain Bike Team In Bentonville

Last week, USA Cycling CEO Brendan Quirk announced the four mountain bikers who will represent the United States at the Olympic Games Paris 2024 during a press conference at the Ledger in Bentonville.

  • Bikerville: In 2022, Bentonville became the official home of the U.S. Mountain Bike National team, serving as a perfect training ground given the terrain’s similarities to what the athletes will experience in Paris. The Paris 2024 Olympic Games will run from Jul 26 to Aug 11.

  • In the Saddle: Haley Batten and Christopher Blevins are returning for their second Olympic appearances, joined by first-time Olympians Savilia Blunk and Riley Amos. This is the first time the USA has ever filled its quota of two men and two women for the Olympics.

Learn more about the athletes and how to watch the mountain biking events during the Paris Olympics HERE.

Benton County Relief Fund Offers Financial Assistance To Storm Victims

The Benton County Relief Fund has been launched to provide short-term financial assistance to households impacted by the devastating storms of May 26 and support local nonprofits in their disaster response efforts.

  • Apply For Aid: Households in Benton County directly impacted by the May 26 storms and earning $125,000 or less annually are eligible for the fund. Residents will receive customized resource plans, connecting them to as many resources as possible to ensure their needs are met.

  • Join The Cause: The fund has already received contributions from Excellerate Foundation, Walton Family Foundation, and Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield, but the scope of the storm damage means that more help is desperately needed — 100% of donations will go directly to relief efforts.

Apply for aid HERE or donate to the fund HERE.
