Museum of Native American History: A Window Into The Past
Today is Indigenous Peoples' Day, and what better way to observe the holiday than by planning a trip to the Museum of Native American History in Bentonville?
The Land: The Museum of Native American History provides a place to experience the diverse Indigenous cultures of the Americas through pre-historic and historic art. Northwest Arkansas is predominately located across the ancestral lands of the Quapaw, Caddo, and Osage people.
Exhibits: MONAH is home to thousands of artifacts spanning 24,000 years, featuring items from pre-Columbian civilizations all the way back to the Paleo Period — including a complete wooly mammoth skeleton nicknamed “Tusker.” The museum is open Tue-Sat from 11a-5p, and admission is always free.
