Enjoy Bluegrass In Downtown Springdale During This Month’s LIVE! At Turnbow Concert

The August session of the LIVE! at Turnbow Concert Series features a lineup of country and bluegrass musicians in Downtown Springdale this Thursday, Aug 29, from 6:30-9:30p.

  • Set Free: The free outdoor concerts at Turnbow Park are hosted on the last Thursday of each month from April to September, providing the community a chance to hear various local and regional musicians while enjoying the Downtown Outdoor Dining District.

  • Pickin’ Party: This month’s concert features opening artists the Shiloh Old Time Pickers, a group of musicians preserving the tradition of Old Time fiddle and dance tunes, followed by headliner The Sons of Otis Malone, a string band based in Siloam Springs known for its high-energy live performances and fresh takes on bluegrass and country classics.

DanceChance To Host Season 3 Showcase At The RØDE House

Enjoy an eclectic evening of dance during the Season 3 Showcase of DanceChance at the Momentary’s RØDE House in Bentonville this Friday, Aug 30, from 7-8:30p.

  • Take A Chance On Me: DanceChance NWA provides regional choreographers a platform to workshop and develop new dance works. Each season features twelve choreographers who present their original choreography at Works-In-Progress showings throughout the year, culminating in a Season Showcase.

  • Join The Dance: Experience a diverse range of dance styles, including contemporary, ballet, tap, circus, aerial, and hip hop. You'll gain insights into each choreographer's creative process, have the opportunity to ask questions, and explore the art of dance from a fresh perspective.

Huge names from the music industry are coming together for a dynamic weekend of back-to-back concerts at the Momentary in Bentonville. The Live On The Green music series continues with TLC & Shaggy on Sep 6 and Gary Clark Jr. on Sep 7.

OZ Mile Swim Brings Weekend Of Swimming Festivities To Northwest Arkansas

The OZ Mile Swim is splashing back to Northwest Arkansas, bringing a weekend of open-water races, charity swims, and swimming festivities to Beaver Lake from Sep 27-29.

  • Just Keep Swimming: The festivities will kick off with an Expo at Red Barn Bentonville on Friday, Sep 27, showcasing creations from local vendors, elite swimmers, and fun activities. Saturday and Sunday, Sep 28-29, will feature charity races and competitive races at The Beaver Lake Dam Site near Eureka Springs.

  • I’m Diving In: The event is for all skill levels! Grow your swim confidence by joining SWIM OZ for Open-Water practices every Wednesday from 6-7p at the Hwy 12 boat ramp in Rogers. Nonswimmers can join the fun, too. Over 100 volunteers are needed to help make this the best open-water swim competition in North America!

Fr8relay Awarded $1M Grant To Further Implement AI/ML Enhanced Scheduling System

Local tech startup FR8relay has received a $1M grant from the National Science Foundation to help advance its patented relay scheduling system with machine learning.

  • Future of Frieght: FR8relay is a technology company based in Northwest Arkansas that is working to make long-haul trucking more efficient by implementing AI and machine learning models into scheduling systems to optimize routes, reduce delays, increase driver retention, and reduce the trucking industry's environmental impact.

  • Tech Hub: With the support of the NSF Phase II grant, FR8relay is poised to set new standards in the trucking industry, leading the charge toward a more efficient and sustainable freight transportation system in the United States.
