Artist Creates World’s Largest Knitted American Flag At Momentary

Celebrate the 4th of July with artist Dave Cole as he makes the world’s largest knitted American Flag at the Momentary. The Flag will be unveiled during a special celebration event on Tuesday, Jul 4, from 7:30-9p

• Super knitting: Cole will knit the flag using telephone poles as knitting needles and two large excavators as arms, executing each purl and knit of the flag from a boom lift above. Watch The Knitting Machine in action on Jul 1 & 2 from 9a-3p.

• Flag raising: Enjoy the flag’s completion over food, drinks, live music & fireworks on Jul 4, from 7:30-9p, followed by a meet and greet with the artist in the Tower Bar from 9-11p, including themed cocktails, a live DJ, and a panoramic view of fireworks across the town.
