Celebrate Local Creativity During The Bentonville Fine Arts Festival
The Bentonville Fine Arts Festival will showcase the region's artistic talent during a two-day celebration of creativity at Orchards Park, Jun 1-2.
Art Wonderland: Explore an extensive range of original artworks, from the intricate beauty of clay and glass to the modern marvels of digital art, fiber, jewelry, and mixed media.
Picture This: Browse hundreds of paintings, photography collections, and more. All artwork will be available for purchase so you can take a piece of this artistic magic home with you. The festival will be open Saturday and Sunday from 10a-5p.

Fayetteville Announces New Movies In The Park Series
This summer, the City of Fayetteville will partner with the Arkansas Cinema Society to host a series of outdoor film screenings at Walker Park and Bryce Davis Park.
In The Park: The film lineup includes screenings of Valley Inn at Walker Park on Jun 7, The Land Before Time at Bryce Davis Park on Jul 12, Back to the Future at Bryce Davis Park on Aug 9, and Coal Miner’s Daughter with live music at Walker Park, date TBD.
Small Town Vibes: The first movie night’s feature, Valley Inn, is a heartwarming indie film produced in Fayetteville about Emily, a New Jersey college student who unexpectedly finds herself in a small Southern town and learns valuable life lessons from the quirky residents.

Best Friends Animal Society is hosting a Super Adoption event at the Best Friends Pet Resource Center in Bentonville on Jun 15 and 16 from 11a-4p.
How To Save A Life: Over 25 regional shelters and rescues will gather at the Pet Resource Center at 1312 Melissa Drive, with hundreds of adoptable cats and dogs for an extravaganza of lifesaving right here in Northwest Arkansas!
Bring Love Home: Admission to the event is free. So stop by Saturday or Sunday, from 11a-4p, and be ready to meet your new best friend! Enjoy food trucks, vendor booths, giveaways, an "ask a trainer" booth with the NWA School for Dogs, demonstrations, and hundreds of adorable adoptable animals to pet and play with.

NWA Food Bank Prepares To Move Into New Facility
Work is nearly finished on the Claude and Betty Harris Center for Hunger Relief in Lowell, which will serve as the new home of the NWA Food Bank.
Growing Out: The new 82,425 sq ft facility will allow the food bank to expand its programming to fight food insecurity in Benton, Washington, Carroll, and Madison counties. By 2045, NWA Food Bank anticipates serving 20M meals annually to keep up with the growing population.
Moving In: NWA Food Bank will begin moving into the new facility over the next few weeks. A Grand Opening and Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony are set for August.

U of A Biofuel Startup Wins $20K In National Pitch Competition
ProPika, a biofuel startup formed at the University of Arkansas, recently won $20,000 in the Energy Tech University pitch competition organized by the U.S. Department of Energy.
On The Rise: The Energy Tech competition challenges students to identify a promising energy technology, assess its market potential, and create a comprehensive business plan for commercialization. ProPika placed second in this year’s competition out of 225 teams from 117 schools.
Fueled and Ready: ProPika uses an innovative and sustainable process to convert agricultural waste into bio-based chemicals to produce biofuels, contributing to the growth of renewable energies and reducing carbon emissions. In April alone, the startup won over $57,000 in prize money from competitions.
