Downtown Springdale's free outdoor concert series LIVE! At Turnbow returns this Thursday, Jun 29, at 6:30p, with opening act Duo Divinas and headliner Ensemble Ibérica, presented by House of Songs.

  • Downtown nights: The free outdoor concert series takes place on the last Thursday of each month from Apr-Sep at Turnbow Park — just a short walk from local restaurants, bars, and stores where you can shop, eat, and explore Downtown Springdale to the sound of live music.

  • Bring your dancing shoes: The night will begin with Duo Divinas’s unique blend of Bachata and tropical fusion, then continue with Ensemble Ibérica for a musical tour of genres from Spanish flamenco and Portuguese fado to Turkish oud and classic country.

June Sales Tax Revenue Up 7.57% In Northwest Arkansas

Northwest Arkansas saw a 7.57% increase in sales tax revenue for June 2023 compared to June 2022, for a combined revenue of $9.349m.

  • May flowers: Bentonville led the pack for June gains, posting an 11.9% gain in sales tax revenue at nearly $2.397m. The city has seen double digit gains every month this year so far, attributing much of the gains to retail, food, and tourism.

  • Bigger picture: Springdale reported the second-highest increase, bringing in $2.001m, up 7.93% from last year. Fayetteville experienced a 6.08% increase in growth and brought in $2.693m during the month of May. Rogers saw a 4.84% increase over a year ago, earning $2.31m.
