FAYETTEVILLE, AR — On March 4, 2026, Honed In Sharpening opened the doors to its first permanent location: Honed In Knife & Tool, at 3014 N. College Ave. in Fayetteville. For the restaurants, salons, barbershops, butcher counters, home cooks, and backyard gardeners of Northwest Arkansas, it’s the sharpest news in years.
The business began in 2018 with a single employee, a tent, and a simple premise: that a dull blade is a problem worth solving, and that the people of this region deserved someone who could solve it well. Tyler — that first hire — became the owner within a year. He has been the face, the standard-setter, and the one behind the wheel ever since.

A Service Built for This Community
Honed In serves a wide range of clients across the region — from professional kitchens and grooming studios to home cooks and weekend farmers. Culinary knives, barber and cosmetology shears, grooming and clipper blades, fabric scissors, lawn and garden tools, and surgical instruments are all part of the work. The standard is the same regardless of who’s asking: sharp, clean, done right.
For businesses, a standing sharpening relationship means equipment that performs, staff who can do their best work, and fewer replacements over time. For households, it means the knife block in your kitchen finally doing what it’s supposed to. Honed In has been handling both for years. Now there’s a front door to walk through.
The Road to 3014 N. College Ave.
Getting here took everything. When the pandemic arrived in 2020, Honed In adapted — moving from a kiosk at Bentonville’s 8th Street Market to a fully mobile model. A trailer came first. Then a custom-built sharpening studio in a Sprinter van. A drop-off partnership with Honeycomb Kitchen Shop in Rogers followed, along with a mail-in service for customers beyond the region.
For seven seasons, Tyler sharpened nearly every Saturday at the Fayetteville Farmers Market — five years as a member of the organization, two more running his own permit when circumstances changed. He kept showing up. That’s been the throughline of this whole operation.
The new location at 3014 N. College Ave. — previously home to Knight Times Tattoo — is the next step in that same direction. Mobile service, drop-off, and mail-in remain available. The van is still out there. But now, there’s also a place to come.
“We’ve always gone to our customers. Now they can come to us.”
— Tyler, Owner, Honed In Sharpening
