NWA Book Fest returns for its second year, featuring a day of author panels, story times, book markets, makers markets, and more at the Fayetteville Town Center on Saturday, Aug 17, from 10a-7p.
Hear From The Best: Some of Arkansas’s most prolific authors across all genres will be present for readings, moderated panel discussions, and audience Q&A opportunities.
A Real Page Turner: Shop a Book Market featuring works by local authors, publishers, and independent bookstores, as well as a Maker’s Market with locally crafted gifts, jewelry, and more! The event is free and open to the public, so come by for some of all of the day’s activities.

Tontitown Grape Festival Returns For 125th Year
The Tontitown Grape Festival kicks off tomorrow night, celebrating 125 years of community with fun activities, carnival rides, and great food from Aug 6-10.
Sounds Grape: The festival schedule includes free nightly entertainment, traditional grape stomping, carnival rides, a craft fair, and the infamously delicious Italian Spaghetti Dinners and grape ice cream.
Move Your Feet: If all that grape stomping makes you want to move your feet, sign up for the Run for the Grapes 5K on Saturday, Aug 10. The Festival ends with the Grand Prize Giveaway of a 2024 Ford Bronco, to be presented by this year’s Queen Concordia.

NWA Food Bank Officially Opens New Facility In Lowell
The ribbon has officially been cut on the new Claude and Betty Harris Center for Hunger Relief in Lowell, which will serve as the new home of the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank.
Growing Out: The new 82,000 sq ft facility is four times the size of the previous space, allowing the food bank to expand its programming to fight food insecurity in Benton, Washington, Carroll, and Madison counties.
Feeding the Hungry: One in six people in Northwest Arkansas is food insecure, and the NWA Food Bank anticipates serving 20 million meals annually to keep up with the growing population.

World Music Meets During The Next Ra-Ve Cultural Foundation House Concert At The Amazeum

Experience an exciting fusion of Puerto Rican Caribbean rhythms and Punjabi rap during the next Ra-Ve Cultural Foundation House Concert, featuring Papa Raps and Mr. S1NGH at the Amazeum in Bentonville this Saturday, Aug 10, from 2-4p.
Where World Music Meets: The Ra-Ve Cultural Foundation House Concerts explore the intersection of Indian classical music and dance with contemporary Western art forms. Performances are followed by open discussion and a free-flowing exchange of ideas and viewpoints.
Blending Cultures: Originally from Puerto Rico, Al “Papa Rap” Lopez is an award-winning songwriter, performer, and inspirational speaker known for engaging audiences with bilingual songs, drums, and Salsa dancing. Born in Punjab, Mr. S1NGH, aka DilSkillz, entertains with a variety of genres, from straight cultural Punjabi folk and Hindi singing to rap R&B to progressive dance styles.
