Massive Rebuilding Efforts Underway Following Storms In Northwest Arkansas

Thousands of homes are still without power in Northwest Arkansas following last weekend’s storms, and crews are working around the clock to get everyone reconnected.

  • Flipping The Switch: Complex repairs are needed to restore the area’s power. SWEPCO has called in nearly 700 additional trees, line, and crew responders to aid the effort.

  • Playing Our Part: Governor Sanders has authorized the National Guard to provide troops to assist SWEPCO with flagging and traffic control. To ensure crews can work as quickly and as safely as possible, the public has been asked to avoid areas where work is underway, not drive past flagged or coned zones, and refrain from approaching crews while they work.

Follow along with SWEPCO’s progress HERE.
