Fayetteville Begins Expansion Project At Yvonne Richardson Community Center

Miller Boskus Lack Architects

The City of Fayetteville will host a groundbreaking ceremony for the upcoming expansion of the Yvonne Richardson Community Center on Friday, Jun 28, at 10:30a.

  • A Place To Belong: The current 10,000 sq. ft. facility was built in 1996 in honor of Yvonne Richardson, daughter of former Razorback basketball coach Nolan Richardson. Fayetteville’s parks department operates the center, providing after-school programs, open gym time, physical education classes, and camps.

  • New Amenities: The $2.6M renovation project includes the addition of a teaching kitchen and multi-purpose classrooms in the center, along with stream restoration and new gathering areas at Ralph “Buddy” Hayes Park — located across the street.

Find more details on the project in The Fayetteville Flyer HERE.
