Coler Mountain Bike Preserve Named Arkansas Tourism Attraction of the Year

Coler Mountain Bike Preserve has been named Arkansas Tourism Attraction of the Year at the 51st Annual Henry Awards, recognizing its impact on outdoor recreation and tourism in the state. The award was presented Tuesday during the Arkansas Governor’s Conference on Tourism, celebrating leaders in Arkansas’s tourism industry.

Known for its scenic trails and natural beauty, Coler has become a go-to destination for mountain bikers, families, and outdoor enthusiasts. This recognition highlights the preserve’s role in enhancing Arkansas’s outdoor experience and drawing visitors from across the country.

"We are incredibly honored to receive this award," said Debra Layton, Executive Director of the Peel Compton Foundation. "This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, volunteers, and the local community who have supported us in making Coler Mountain Bike Preserve a premier destination. We strive to create an inclusive environment that welcomes everyone to explore and enjoy the great outdoors."

The Henry Awards, named after 17th-century explorer Henri de Tonti, honor contributions that promote tourism across Arkansas. The Tourism Attraction of the Year award further solidifies Coler’s place as a key driver of local tourism and economic growth.

Operated by the Peel Compton Foundation, Coler features more than 19 miles of trails for all skill levels, plus year-round events and amenities that make it a welcoming space for the community. The foundation’s mission is to connect people through nature, education, recreation, and preservation.
