Only A Few Days Left To Register For The Inaugural Dickson Street Mile
Fayetteville will introduce a new running event this month called The Dickson Street Mile, a one-mile race down the city’s most iconic street on Saturday, Jul 27, from 7-9a.
Off To The Races: Different race heats will provide options for all, including competitive races for youth, teens, adults, adults ages 50+, and an elite category for those capable of a 4:30-minute mile and under. Some of the races even have cash prizes!
Slow Your Roll: The main event, the Dickson Street Open, will feature a mile for everyone to run, jog, walk, roll, and stroll and feel more like a community parade. There’s also a Dog Mile for those who want to run with their four-legged friends!

Northwest Arkansas Naturals Break Out Growlin’ Chickens Gear For Matchup With Tulsa Drillers
The NWA Naturals are gearing up for nine games in 10 days, beginning with a three-game series against the Tulsa Drillers at Arvest Ballpark this weekend, Jul 19-21.
Let Me Hear You Growl: The Naturals will reprise their role as the Growlin’ Chickens for two nights, Jul 19-20, paying homage to Springdale’s poultry industry with their Growlin' Chickens jerseys and caps. Don’t miss Post-game Fireworks on Friday, a Derby Egg Figurine Giveaway on Saturday, and Kids Run The Bases on Sunday.
Travelin’ Band: After a night off Monday, the NWA Naturals will host the Arkansas Travelers for six games from Tuesday, Jul 23, to Sunday, Jul 28. The series will feature several promotion nights, including Buck-A-Brat Tuesday, $1 Hot Dogs Wednesday, Thirsty Thursday, Fireworks Friday, Bobblehead Giveaway Saturday, and Family Sunday!

Tuition-Free, Trauma-Informed Charter School Now Enrolling
Hope Academy, Arkansas's first and only trauma-informed charter school, is currently accepting applications for the 2024/2025 school year.
Supporting Families: Entering its fifth year, Hope Academy serves students in kindergarten through 4th grade as an extension of the programs of the Northwest Arkansas Children's Shelter. Hope Academy focuses on each student's social/emotional health and academic success while also providing wraparound services for the entire family.
Restoring Hope: All teachers and staff walk alongside each family as they navigate the difficult path caused by childhood trauma. With a 10:1 student-to-teacher ratio, each child receives the individualized attention and instruction they need to succeed. If your family has been affected by foster care, adoption, childhood trauma, or other adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), Hope Academy can help.

Join Chinelos Morelenses Unidos En Arkansas for its annual traditional Explosión Chinelera 2024 at Shiloh Square in Downtown Springdale this Saturday, Jul 20, from 1-8p.
Disguised Dancers: Chinelos are traditional Mexican dancers who wear colorful, exaggerated costumes and perform at carnivals, family parties, weddings, etc. The tradition originated in Morelos, Mexico.
Sounds Of Mexico: Enjoy the dances, eat Mexican snacks, shop handcrafted goods, win raffle prizes, and listen to the music of Banda de Tlayacapan Brígido Santamaría from Morelos — Mexico’s oldest band!

Dream Big In Support Of Children’s Safety Center Of Washington County
Support Children’s Safety Center of Washington County during its 17th annual Dream Big Charity Gala at the Fayetteville Town Center on Saturday, Jul 27, from 7-11p.
For The Kids: Founded in 1997, Children’s Safety Center helps local child abuse victims by providing child advocacy, forensic interviewing, forensic medical exams, mental health therapy, and child abuse prevention training. All of these services are provided free of charge to child abuse victims and their families.
Join The Circus: This year's circus-themed gala will feature live music with DJ Derrick, various Cirque acts, exciting carnival games, and a silent auction. Proceeds support CSC’s ongoing work.
