Explore Local Businesses and Breweries During the NWA Startup Crawl

The best and brightest of Northwest Arkansas's dynamic entrepreneurial scene will showcase their products and services alongside local breweries, art displays, food trucks, and live music during the NWA Startup Crawl this Friday, Sep 8, at 5p.

  • Start Strong: Organized by local nonprofit Startup Junkie, the NWA Startup Crawl draws hundreds of attendees each year, from investors and business leaders to students and entrepreneurs who want to support and learn from each other.

  • All for You: Each startup will be paired with a local brewery, and crawlers who visit all ten official stops will receive a shirt and be entered to win an iPad. This year’s exciting musical lineup includes country group Midnight South, pop duo joan, and the Grammy-nominated chart-toppers Sister Hazel.

Welcoming Week NWA Highlights the Region’s Cultural Diversity

Welcoming Week NWA 2023 will take place Sep 8-17, bringing a week full of community events, multiple speaker panels, volunteer drives, and ways to highlight the importance of making NWA a thriving and inclusive place to live and work.

  • Hospitality: Welcoming Week NWA begins with an Opening Celebration at the Jones Center this Friday, Sep 8, from 9-11a, featuring keynote speaker Victor Calise — Walmart Director of Global DEI, Paralympian, and advocate for adapting spaces for those with disabilities.

  • Making Waves: The Arkansas Coalition of Marshallese will also highlight an upcoming cultural training, and the Ocean Wave dancers will perform traditional dances from the Pacific Islands.

Lose Yourself in the Music with Alvvays at the Momentary This Weekend!

Discover your next musical obsession with the Live on the Green concert series at the Momentary! The fall vibes kick off this weekend with indie-rock stars Alvvays, joined by special guest Julia Jacklin this Saturday, Sep 9.

Best Friends Hosts Bark to School Bash at Pet Resource Center

Get in the spirit of the school season with Best Friends' Bark to School Bash at the Pet Resource Center in Bentonville this Saturday, Sep 9, from 10a-4p!

  • State of the Bark: If you haven't been to the state-of-the-art Pet Resource Center yet, now’s your chance! Grab a drink from Third Space Coffee, play with kittens, take a slide downstairs to visit the pups, and meet the team working to make Arkansas shelters no-kill by 2025.

  • Doggone Fun: Meet dogs from Best Friends and other area shelters during the Adoptable Dog Fair from 10a-1p, and enjoy plenty of fun activities throughout the day, like face painting, balloon animals, paint and plant your own catnip pot activity, storytime in the kitten room, a make-your-own dog treat station, and more!

K1 Speed Announces Indoor Go-Kart Center for Rogers

Add an indoor go-kart center to the list of exciting developments in Northwest Arkansas. K1 Speed recently announced plans to open an entertainment center in Rogers.

  • Mr. Worldwide: K1 Speed has over 72 locations worldwide, offering high-speed electric go-kart racing. Dates for the Rogers location have not yet been announced.

  • Party On: The entertainment center will feature an electric go-kart race track, an arcade, pool tables, air hockey, and a restaurant, making it a great place to host birthdays, bachelor parties, company parties, and more.
