Breweries in Fayetteville, Arkansas

NWA Daily's Guide to Breweries in and around Fayetteville, Arkansas

Northwest Arkansas boasts an incredible beer scene with numerous local breweries to try and more popping up all the time.

Here are some of our favorites in and around the city of Fayetteville. Many of these are part of the Fayetteville Flight, a mini-trek option of the famous Fayetteville Ale Trail.

Whichever you decide is your favorite, we're just glad you're drinking local - cheers!

Fossil Cove

The people behind Fossil Cove Brewing Co. love NWA and this little corner of the world, naming their brewery after a fossil-laden cove on the shores of Beaver Lake (the brewery's water source). They have a solid selection of 8-10 beers annually with seasonal rotations. If you're feeling like some grub, we definitely recommend a pizza from the food truck Wicked Wood Fired Pizza on site. Our beer of choice is the T-Rex or Birch Ave Blond.

West Mountain Brewing Co. is right next door to Tiny Tim's Pizza on the Historic Downtown Square of Fayetteville. This brewery is Northwest Arkansas' oldest brewery and has become a Fayetteville tradition with a wide selection of top-notch beers.

Boston Mountain Brewing offers a small in-house menu and additional offerings on the weekend. Enjoy the ever-changing array of beers throughout the week, and go on a Friday for some 99-cent wings. Hang out on the patio, and/or call ahead for a tour of the full space!

Crisis Brewing is one of the more unique breweries in the area, nestled in a patch of trees almost hiding it from view in the summer months. It was named "lovingly after a midlife crisis" and created for the love of the craft of brewing and community. Crisis is the type of place only locals know about and serves up some of the best beer in the state. Hot take, this is the best beer in NWA.

Also right off the bike trail, Columbus House Brewery and Tap Room is an intimate, 3-barrel space with rotating and permanent taps run by NWA natives and University of Arkansas alum. The space is friendly and right next to Fayetteville Funky Flea Market. Columbus is the perfect stop along the Ale Trail and encourages cyclists and runners to stop by at their leisure.

An American farmhouse brewery inspired by Belgian brewing traditions, local brewer Jesse Gagnon shows off his brewing expertise through his small-batch flavors. The drive through Goshen’s farmland prepares you for the agrarian feel of Orthodox.

Instead of a traditional wall of taps, Fayetteville Beer Works pours its beer directly from the brewing tank with European-style draft faucets to ensure a thick, pillowy head and the freshest, most flavorful beer you can find. The top picks from our crew were the Mud Creek Brown Ale and the East Fay Hazy IPA. They also offer a variety of snacks, from hot pretzels and popcorn to hot dogs and ice cream.
