Film Crews Spotted In Northwest Arkansas Over The Summer
Adam Sigal’s film The Tower, starring actors Bella Thorne, Cam Gigandet, and Jack Kilmer, has been in production in and around Northwest Arkansas this summer.
Heartland Hollywood: A new Arkansas law went into effect this week, offering incentives to productions that spend money or hire crew members from economically distressed areas in the state. The third season of HBO’s True Detective, filmed in NWA in 2018, brought nearly 1,000 jobs and $100m to the region.
Gone Fishing: According to an article in Deadline, The Tower tells the story of “a mysterious mermaid trapped and forgotten for years in the water tower of a small Southern town.” The Fayetteville Flyer reported actors were spotted filming at Worlds Under Water, a tropical fish store in Johnson.
