Botanical Garden May Come To Downtown Bentonville
The Bentonville Planning Commission is considering turning the former home of Bud Walton, brother of Walmart founder Sam Walton, into a Downtown botanical garden.
Rooting for It: The Peel Compton Foundation owns the 6.93-acre property and is overseeing the project to transform it into a botanical garden.
Budding with Beauty: Plans include a cafe and restaurant space, a greenhouse, new sheds, a fountain, benches, bike racks, a potential trail connection to the Razorback Greenway, a new parking lot, and a parking deck.

Wing Cookoff and Tailgate in Downtown Fayetteville
The Upper Ramble in Downtown Fayetteville will host Rumble in the Ramble: Hogs & Dogs on Friday, Sep 18, from 5-10p.
Just Wing It: There will be a wing competition, where ten local teams compete for Best Flavor, Most Heat, Most Creative and Best All-Around in the Wing Competition, with public wing sales opening at 5p.
Hog Wild: Except a pep rally, that will include games and photo opportunities, a live concert from The Rodney Block Collective at 8p, food, and drinks. The event is free, family-friendly, and open to all.

Pickin’ in the Park Returns to Siloam Springs
Pickin' in the Park will take over Memorial Park in Siloam Springs on Saturday, Sep 19, from 9a-12p.
Pickin’ and Grinnin’: Pickin’ in the Park is a free monthly jam session held on the third Saturday of every month at the Siloam Springs Farmers Market, which will also be open on Saturday from 8a-12p.
BYOBanjo: Musicians are encouraged to bring their own instrument guitar to join the jam session. September’s event is the second-to-last Pickin’ in the Park of the year, with the final one scheduled for Saturday, Oct 17.

Two New Developments Officially Open in Rogers
The City of Rogers celebrated the grand opening of two new developments, Hotel Vin and Beyond Wellness, last week.
A Suite Addition: Hotel Vin, a new boutique hotel, opened in the Pinnacle Hills district of Rogers near Un Deux Trois, featuring 125 rooms, plus a first-floor restaurant called Bacchus, a speakeasy called Magnum, a rooftop bar called Ridge Rooftop Lounge, and much more.
Beyond Expectations: Beyond Wellness opened its first-ever Northwest Arkansas location in Rogers and offers functional wellness, women’s and men’s health, advanced wellness therapies, skin health, and aesthetic services. It is located at 4100 W. Oak Street and is open Monday-Friday from 8a-5p.
