Jones Center To Host Community Campout
Jones Center in Springdale will host its 3rd Annual Community Campout from Friday, Sep 11, at 6p through Saturday, Sep 12, at 10a.
Campout! Expect staff-led pop-up sessions on survival skills, nature exploration, kids' crafts, and a morning yoga session, plus campfire cooking, live music, and a late-night movie.
Want A S’More? Sites fit up to 6 people. Tickets run at $50 for the public or $40 for members, with dinner, dessert, and breakfast covered. The campground will have 24/7 on-site security. Make sure to pack your own lawn chair and bedding for the night. Register by Wednesday, Sep 9.

Mercy Teams Up With UAMS on New Doula Toolkit
Mercy Hospital in Rogers is piloting a new doula integration toolkit developed by UAMS to help clinical teams and doulas work more closely together during pregnancy and birth.
Doula Not Disturb: So far, 45 Mercy staff members have completed training through the program, and the hospital has already reported a 47% jump in staff understanding of what doulas actually do.
A Labor of Love: The toolkit is part of UAMS's broader Doula Expansion Initiative, which has also enrolled 50 people in a doula training program launched in 2025 to strengthen maternal support across Northwest Arkansas.

August First Friday at Bentonville Square
Downtown Bentonville’s August First Friday Live will take place this Friday, Aug 7, from 3-9p.
Fri-YAY: First Friday is Bentonville's free, family-friendly monthly street festival, held on the first Friday of every month through October.
First Things First: Food trucks begin serving at 11a, followed by 100 vendor booths opening at 3p and live music & entertainment kicking off at 5p. Pets are welcome, and the event is rain or shine unless severe weather is expected.
