CNBC Names Arkansas As Most Improved State
Arkansas jumped 13 spots to No. 28 in CNBC's 2026 America's Top States for Business rankings and was named the Most Improved State in the country.
The Natural State of Mind: The report cites Northwest Arkansas and its thriving marketplace as the reason for The Natural Stateβs growth.
Stats Donβt Lie: People are moving to Northwest Arkansas, drawn by corporate headquarters such as Walmart, Tyson Foods, and J.B. Hunt, as well as lower costs, tax benefits, and quality-of-life appeal. It also states that remote workers are choosing NWA as well.
