NWA Needs $6B In Transportation Infrastructure
Northwest Arkansas needs roughly $6B in transportation improvements over the next 25 years to keep pace with population growth, but has only identified half of it.
Top Ten: NWA ranked as the ninth-fastest growing U.S. metro area in 2025. The area is projected to hit 1M people between 2045-2050, putting pressure on transportation infrastructure.
Faster Pace: The focus over the next few years is to close the funding gap and accelerate infrastructure project delivery throughout the area.
